sundays!

Today is sunday! I love sundays!! its one of my favorite days, mostly cause you get to go to church, and you get away with being lazy! Today, Josh and I slept in, put a roast in the crock-pot, went to church, took a nap.... and so far, thats about it! We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and we love it! The gospel is a very important part of our lives, and we are very lucky to be members of our church. We are also apart of the scouting program in our church, and thats always fun... these are our cub scouts...





I am also the young women sports coordinator... i love getting to hang out with the young women, and any chance i get i am playing the sports right with them... i cant wait for volleyball season, thats my favorite part! i wish i had pictures of them :(

the josh and april story

i thought now would be a good time to tell you how Josh and I came to be...

Josh and I were set up on a blind date- by my mom and his dad, back in March 2008. i told my mom that she We went on our first date on March 22nd, coming up on two years pretty quick. I lived in Provo when we were first set up, and we dated long distance for 4 months before i moved down to St George. He really didnt want to be in a relationship- especially with some immature 19 year old girl... but I knew that i was supposed to be patient with him. Orginally i just thougth everything would happen so fast- and i would be married within 4 months of moving down here, HA! A year and a half after our first date, we got married... it was alot of waiting for me, but alot of time for him to make sure that this was the absoulte right choice. i was no longer an immature young girl, i was a much more mature woman, and he was ready. Josh and I know that we were meant to be together, everything just fell into place, and God truely did some magic to make sure that we made it to "I do." August 7th, 2009 was the beginning to our life together, and i have loved every minute so far.

your introduction to us

This is my first blog! i'm pretty excited, if you cant tell. This blog will hopefully update you on our lifes, Mr. and Mrs. Martin. So Josh and i have been married for over 6 months now, August 7th, 2009. We are sooooo happy, and happy to be in love. We want kids someday soon, but no babies in our lives yet. I am in school to be an elementary education teacher, and someday i will be done with school, it feels like the longest process of my life. I have to take classes REALLY slow because i also work full time, but someday.... someday.... i will be done, and graduate. I work at the hospital, at a Cardiology office, and i love my job, but i cant wait to start teaching. Josh works for the school district, as an irrigation specialist- he likes to say that he digs holes for a living! We have a huge extended family that we love sooo much, i have 5 siblings, and Josh has 3- most of them are married, and a couple with kids... plus ALL of his extended family lives in the same town as us! So no matter what, we have someone around to entertain us. We live out in Dammeron Valley Utah, right above Saint George, and we love it out here. We are close enough to go into town whenever we want, and far enough away to feel like we are in our own bubble. We have a house out here that is everything that we could have ever wanted. We have lots of wonderful friends that are always there for us... like Jessica, Jared, Rachel, and Lance. They are each very important people in our lives. I will update plenty more in the future.
